Trying To Find The Words

At 6 months this little boy has touched my heart and so many others.
And to quote his mother "has knit so many in prayer."
Beautiful. Amazing. Faith. Hope. Love. Strength. Courage. Speechless.

I Wanna Do This!

I love the following 2 videos. I mean LOVE IT! How fun would this be. I wish I could have been a part of them! And yes I am aware that part of my information in the right hand column is cut off. For this post it's worth it!

ETSY Shopping Saturday... Happy Easter!

In That Moment.... I plopped myself and my Easter basket down on the Sunday School room floor. Stuck my feet out in front and took off the very uncomfortable white patent shoes (to this day I don't like patent shoes). I had to scratch my legs because of the also very uncomfortable tulle that fluffed my pastel dress. I've never liked dresses, but always had to wear one for Easter. Finally to the colorful plastic eggs! What goodies would I find inside. First the hot pink one, a quarter, that won't buy me anything. Then the pastel green, a jaw breaker, those things are gross. A purple one taped shut, I'm not wasting my time to try and peel the tape off. A blue one that held a lifesaver mint, which is not real candy. Where is my chocolate? Three eggs later, FINALLY. I unwrapped that miniature Mr. Goodbar and devoured the milk chocolate and peanuts. I was happy, but happy in uncomfortable shoes and dress.

EASTER EGG: I found these very pretty Easter egg cookies at sugar & flour. When I think of Easter I always think of colors in the pastel family. I also think of decorating Easter eggs as these cookies are beautifully done. Who would not love to find these in their basket on Easter morning? Hop on over to sugar & flour where they have an assortment of fun decorated cookies. They even have cookies on a stick!

EASTER BASKET: The basket is essential to carry all of your loot! This adorable basket is from The Frolicking Fairy. This basket is deep enough to carry lots of your eggs as you snatch them up. The fabric can also be monogrammed for your special little Easter bunny. Don't worry they have a blue basket for the boys. Take a look at what else The Frolicking Fairy has in their Etsy store.

EASTER DRESS: Now this is my kind of Easter dress. One without tulle! And one that just looks comfortable. This pillowcase dress is from 4 Crazy Ladies. These colors are perfect for Easter and I just love the print. For the past few years it has been cold on Easter. Problem solved with this little dress, just add a long sleeve solid shirt underneath. If you wanted to you could even get your little bunny's initials or name embroidered on this dress. There are several other dresses (and other items) over at 4 Crazy Ladies. They even make shorts for boys that match the pillowcase dresses, none in flowers of course!

Well Happy Easter to all of you! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. John 11:25-26

Inspiration

The inspiration for my blog comes from the song "Wish" by Joy Williams. Brian Littrell (former Backstreet Boy) also sings this song. Sorry Brian, love you and all, but I like Joy singing this song much better. However there was a beautiful video made of Brian's version. I tried to post it here, but not having very much luck. This video is powerful as well as the lyrics of the song. I hope you enjoy it.

For just a moment I wish I could have been there - to see your first step - to hear your very first word - tell me did you ever fall and scrape your knee - did you know your wounds would one day heal the world - For just one moment I wish I could have seen you growing, - learning the ways of a carpenter's son - just a little boy gazing at the stars - did you remember creating every one - if you passed by would I see a child or a king - or would i have known - Chorus: I wish I could have been there - My only wish is to see you face to face - I wish I could have been there just to see you Jesus face to face - For just one moment I wish I could have been there - when you left your footprints upon the waves - to walk along beside you never look away - just your whisper and the wind and sea obey - to see you feed the people - to feel the healing in your touch - Chorus: I wish I could have been there - My only wish is to see you face to face - I wish I could have been there just to see you Jesus face to face - To hear you pray in the garden alone -laying down your will with each tear - to see you walk that lonely road - willing to die for me - and in that moment I know I should have been there - you took my cross and gave your life - But you live again - I wish I could have been there - I wish that I could have seen you rise again - I wish I could have been there - My only wish is to see you face to face - someday I'll be there - I'm gonna be there - I'll see your face your mercy and grace someday - someday I'm gonna see you Jesus face to face
